A SECRET GARDEN OF ART

For 27 years, Mary Williams Fine Arts in Boulder, Colorado, has offered a complete fine arts service, from showcasing the work of some of America’s best artists to framing, advising, and commissioning.

Art has the power to transform a space and change the way we see the world—and since 1996, Mary Williams Fine Arts in Boulder, Colorado, has been showcasing evocative work by artists from coast to coast alongside classic and contemporary reproductions and antique prints. “I’ve nicknamed the gallery ‘The Secret Garden’ as it is truly an oasis of beauty on the outskirts of town,” says founder Mary Williams.

Williams co-founded the eponymous gallery in 1996 with Nancy Ferries, and together they grew the group of living artists represented by the gallery to more than 50. A decade after the gallery opened, Williams and her husband bought out Ferries’ share and later moved the gallery to a spacious warehouse on the east side of Boulder. “I am a very grateful woman to have re-emerged in what will be my last, best place,” says Williams. “It’s a stunning space, and my clients and artists love our new home.”

Today, Mary Williams Fine Arts has developed into a world-class destination for collectors and art lovers. Sculptures, paintings, prints, and maps are exquisitely showcased around the gallery, which is arranged in a way designed to evoke different home settings. The works are spectacularly diverse—from the wonderfully textured landscapes of Mike Ray and joyful floral arrangements of Cathryne Trachok to the realistic aspen oil paintings by Cydney Springer and more conceptual work by Erwin Lewandowski..

While the collection is extensive, Williams understands the challenges of finding the perfect piece and assists collectors in commissioning unique works of art. The gallery’s expert curators are also available for private home visits to advise on framing, placement, and selection.

Alongside the welcoming reception area, gallery, and lounge library is a room dedicated to framing. This unique element of the gallery further elevates works of fine art, carefully matching frames to the work. The framing design/build team is known for its collection of unique moulding and works to complete archival standards to ensure gallery-like quality.

“It is with thanks and pride that we have entered our 27th year in business,” says Williams. “Our presence in Boulder since 1996, combined with more than forty years of experience, makes us a trusted source for your fine art needs.”
