Inspired by the majestic lake views, nature, and surrounding mountainous landscape, this Lake Brome Residence conceived through a harmonious collaboration between two industry giants is now a one-of-a-kind family home. “The Lake Brome residence was a great opportunity for the company to collaborate with Atelier Pierre Thibault, a firm which Kastella has always held in high regard,” says Jason Burhop, Kastella’s Founder.

Kastella’s scope of work ranged from integrated millwork to custom furniture production, which took over a year to plan and execute. Their design-savvy clients selected top-quality materials such as a walnut with a water-based finish as the primary material for the interiors. The warm, caramel tones of the paneled walls, integrated shelves, storage, and cabinetry added depth and character to the newly constructed home.

The minimalistic kitchen is highly functional, with two 10-foot islands strategically placed to maximize the views. Additional features include flat paneled walnut cabinetry, open shelving, and a black Fenix NTM countertop reminiscent of Kastella’s furniture. The seamless flow of paneled wood walls and built-ins extended past the kitchen and main living spaces into the restrooms, mudroom, and sleeping quarters. The master bedroom closets, as an example, served as the backdrop for their king-size bed. In addition to creating the custom millwork and interior furnishing, Kastella designed the outdoor furnishings to model the interiors. For example, a bespoke-length version of the dining table was crafted for the outdoors.

Every home has a story, and Kastella and Atelier Pierre Thibault have genuinely brought this modern family home to life.
