The Dalmore’s latest release, The Red Wine Cask Edition, marks the third chapter in its coveted Cask Curation Series—an extraordinary trilogy of single malts aged 24, 34, and 43 years, each finished in rare red wine casks sourced from Château Mont-Redon in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Crafted in collaboration with fourth-generation winemaker Pierre Fabre, this limited-edition set celebrates the richness of the Rhône Valley terroir and The Dalmore’s 180-year tradition of cask mastery. Each whisky in the collection is matured in the same 2023 Mont-Redon red wine casks—primarily Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Mourvèdre—showcasing how a single vineyard influence can evolve across decades of aging.
The 24-year expression offers notes of honey, red berries, and mandarin. The 34-year deepens into stone fruits, white chocolate, and subtle spice. At 43 years, the whisky reveals layers of antique leather, forest berries, espresso, and aged wood. Presented at natural color, non-chill filtered, and housed in a bespoke lapis-blue display case by Italian artisans AB Florence, the trio evokes the spirit of travel, provenance, and precision.
Limited to just 150 sets globally, The Dalmore Red Wine Cask Edition is priced at $44,450.
