In Notting Hill, behind a façade that speaks to classic London charm, the W11 Residence reveals a master suite that feels both expressive and composed. Designed by Taylor Howes and brought to life through Lanserring’s bespoke production, the master bedroom and dressing room form a unified retreat tailored to the owners’ energetic and social lifestyle, yet grounded in intimacy and craft.
The master bedroom is layered rather than minimal. Eclectic art punctuates contemporary furniture, creating a space that feels lived in and welcoming rather than staged. Lanserring’s contribution begins with the architecture of storage and unfolds into a fully integrated composition. Wardrobes are seamlessly built into the envelope of the room, their proportions calibrated to feel substantial without overwhelming the space. Open shelving introduces moments of display, allowing personal objects to sit comfortably alongside tailored garments.
The headboard anchors the room as both focal point and functional joinery element, extending laterally to frame the bed with quiet confidence. A custom banquette introduces softness and utility, offering a place to sit, read, or pause at the end of the day. Skirting and trim are not treated as afterthoughts but as deliberate design gestures, reinforcing the continuity of material and line. Every junction, every reveal, speaks to the discipline of fine joinery.
If the bedroom sets the tone, the master dressing room refines it. Conceived as a luxurious yet practical environment, the space centers on a generous wardrobe system that balances openness with discretion. Cabinetry is tailored precisely to the clients’ needs, creating clarity without rigidity. A striking triptych mirror becomes both sculptural element and daily tool, reflecting light across the room and expanding the sense of space. The mirror’s articulation introduces depth and rhythm, elevating the room beyond pure functionality.

Materials are chosen for quiet richness. Timber tones bring warmth, while refined finishes maintain a contemporary edge. The craftsmanship is evident not in ornament, but in precision. Doors align perfectly. Shelving sits flush. Hardware feels weighted and intentional. This is joinery designed to endure, both aesthetically and practically.
The suite extends into the master bathroom, where Lanserring crafted a custom vanity and a sliding vanity unit that merges elegance with usability. Here, as elsewhere, the language of cabinetry continues seamlessly. Surfaces are clean yet tactile, reinforcing the sense that every space in the suite belongs to a coherent whole.

What distinguishes this Notting Hill residence is not excess, but orchestration.
The collaboration between Taylor Howes and Lanserring demonstrates how bespoke production can elevate a design vision into something deeply personal. The master bedroom and dressing room are not merely beautifully finished rooms. They are environments shaped around habit, movement, and identity.
In a neighborhood known for its character and color, this private sanctuary stands out for its balance. It is lively yet composed, expressive yet disciplined. Above all, it reflects a level of trust between designer, maker, and client that allows craftsmanship to take center stage. Here, luxury is not declared. It is built, measured, and felt in every detail.
