Fromental’s Peter Rabbit™ wallcovering is a sophisticated tribute to one of England’s most beloved literary characters. Hand-drawn in collaboration with Penguin Books, the wallcovering delicately integrates Beatrix Potter’s whimsical creatures into Fromental’s signature Chinoiserie aesthetic. The result is a design that feels both timeless and personal—subtle enough for elegant homes, yet filled with the quiet joy of childhood nostalgia.
Available in eight gentle colorways, including Hill Top Blue, Pavilion Pink, and Penrhyn Nectar, the wallcovering is printed on non-woven paper and made to order in three height layouts designed to accommodate varying ceiling heights and architectural proportions. Each panel measures 36 inches (approximately 3 feet) wide, and the design is composed of a repeating set of ten joining panels, ensuring seamless transitions and a continuous mural-like effect. Orders require a minimum of four panels, with pricing beginning at $395 per panel. The lead time for production is three to four weeks.
The layout options range in height from a minimum of 2.3 meters (design height at 1.8 meters) to a maximum of 3.5 meters (design height at 3 meters). Each scale is carefully considered to ensure Peter Rabbit and his companions remain visible above furnishings—creating visual interest at both adult and child eye level. This thoughtful proportion makes the wallcovering ideal for a variety of rooms, including powder rooms, children’s bedrooms, nurseries, hallways, and reading nooks.
