SCULPTURAL WORKS FOR CONNOISSEURS
At Collector’s Room #2 in Paris, Charles-Emmanuel Deppierraz presented a refined selection of collectible works that affirmed contemporary design as an enduring cultural and material asset for discerning collectors.
TERESA COLE

Recently, Swiss designer Charles-Emmanuel Deppierraz a tightly curated body of collectible works at Collector’s Room #2, an exhibition organized by Bel Ouvrage and staged within the private setting of Karl Lagerfeld’s Apartment. Conceived in collaboration with curator Carole de Bona, the presentation positioned contemporary design objects as assets of cultural and material significance.
Deppierraz unveiled a new iteration of his Curve Lamp, executed in a refined brass and pure white finish and produced in collaboration with Maison Pouenat. With its restrained geometry and impeccable finish, the piece demonstrated the designer’s ability to translate sculptural language into a functional collectible, balancing visual calm with artisanal complexity.

Epure Console

The lamp was shown alongside two complementary works that reinforced Deppierraz’s signature vocabulary. The Émilie coffee table, rendered in black lacquer with polished mirror copper, and the Épure console, crafted in solid oak with polished brass and white lacquer, were produced by Ateliers Saint-Jacques. Each piece highlighted a meticulous command of proportion, finish, and material contrast, qualities that continue to define value within the collectible design market.
Presented within the context of Lagerfeld’s former apartment, the exhibition underscored the intimacy and discretion increasingly sought by collectors. The setting privileged close engagement, allowed material quality, craftsmanship, and authorship to take precedence. The result was a presentation that aligned contemporary design with the traditions of connoisseurship, rarity, and long-term relevance.
