In a collaboration as iconic as its subjects, Harrods Interior Design and Cole & Son have unveiled the Couture Carousel collection, a breathtaking homage to Harrods’ 175 years of heritage, artistry, and timeless style. This collection isn’t just wallpaper—it’s storytelling in design form, weaving the history of haute couture, British elegance, and modern creativity into every pattern. The Couture Carousel draws inspiration from vintage Harrods magazine covers, where fashion illustrations burst to life in vibrant watercolors and muted palettes. Each design reflects pivotal moments in the evolution of haute couture, from the femininity of the 1950s to the avant-garde experiments of the 1980s and 90s.
The wallpaper’s patterns are layered with nods to Harrods’ storied past. Croquis drawings of glamorous gowns are set against a backdrop of the famous Harrods windows, while whimsical details like Henry the Bear, a grand pearl necklace, and a playful poodle pay tribute to the store’s enchanting history.
