Ideal haven for affluent travelers and families to escape the chaos of big-city living, Snowmass Base Village is a mere 8 miles from downtown Aspen. The Snowmass Ski Area ranks as one of the best ski and snowboard hills in the world. In addition to its pristine slopes, exquisite restaurants, and tranquil natural surroundings it is a celebrated destination during the summer months with renowned annual events.

The new residences at Limelight, Lumin and Viceroy Snowmass are the result of a $600 million collaboration between three major players in the mountain resort business, East West Partners (EWP), Aspen Skiing Company (ASC) and KSL Capital Partners. These whole-ownership residences are part of the transformation of Snowmass Base Village, currently the largest mountain resort development underway in North America.

“We are excited to begin sales and to start showcasing the wonderful community we are creating for families looking to find a mountain home at Snowmass,” notes Andy Gunion, managing partner for EWP. “These residences are truly extraordinary, offering a sophisticated mountain design and stunning views that put people right in the heart of one of the best year-round resorts in the world.”

Ski-in/Ski-out residences at Limelight, Lumin and Viceroy Snowmass will undoubtedly go quickly. Just eight miles from downtown Aspen, the Snowmass Ski Area consistently ranks as one of the best ski and snowboard hills in the world. Surrounded by natural beauty, Snowmass Ski Area offers guests 3,332 acres of multi-level terrain including the second largest vertical drop in the United States. The resort boasts 95% ski-in/ski-out lodging, 37 restaurants, and numerous shops and boutiques.

“This collection of new residential opportunities offers an incredible range of options for buyers,” proclaims John Calhoun, vice president of sales and marketing for East West Partners. “Snowmass Base Village is now offering residences that range in size from a studio in the Viceroy, to a spacious four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home in Lumin. Everyone, from multi-generational families looking for a mountain home-base to buyers looking for an exclusive, one-of-a-kind getaway, can find their place at Snowmass Base Village.”

For example, the Limelight Snowmass is designed as the “living room” of Snowmass Base Village, a 99-room hotel on track for completion in November 2018 that includes 11 residences for sale. Prices start at $1.875 million for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom residence, rising to $4.675 million for a spacious corner three-bedroom, three-bathroom home. Owners will have access to the exclusive private Snowmass Mountain Club, with lockers, ski valet, a lounge area, fitness center, social activities, kid’s room, and outdoor spa pools.

Lumin is Snowmass Base Village’s most exclusive address with only three residences, each with direct elevator access. The Lumin comes with raised ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and outdoor decks. In addition to being just a few steps from the lifts, owners will also have privileges at Snowmass Mountain Club, and the Limelight Hotel. Pricing for these three residences begins at $3.3 million.

Finally, with a recently completed $4 million renovation, the Viceroy Snowmass has 15 residences currently for sale ranging in price from $225,000 for a studio to $1.96 million for a three-bedroom, three-bathroom residence.

A new public plaza featuring an ice skating rink in winter that turns into an events lawn with children’s pop-up fountains in summer, connect the residences and becomes the nucleus for guests and homeowners to reveal their love for mountain living while enjoying music, food, farmer’s market, art, and fun family activities.
